-How could the Sasanid Empire avoid being conquered by Muslims?

-How could the Kingdom of Armenia (under the Arsacid dinasty) avoid being absorbed by the Byzantine and Sasanid Empires?

The POD necessary to save Arsacid Armenia would probably be enough to butterfly away all the events that led to the last Roman-Persian war and the fall of the Sassanids. So yeah you just need to focus on Armenia and then develop the story as you please.

Do you wish to have an Arsacid power to return to power in the Eranshahr? A Mihran-Bagratunid dynasty could have ruled the Eranshahr had Khosrau II failed in his return or Vistahm and Viduyeh Ispahbudhan had not supported Khosrau II and or supported literally, Bahram of Mihran.
