Samo's Empire - WI

Howdy howdy hey! I'm superninja76, and I'm here to ask you all a question that popped into my head recently, while playing EUIV Extended Timeline.

What if the empire of Samo, the Frankish arms dealer turned heroic general turned Slavic warrior-king, had survived his death in around 658 (60 years old, now that's a long time to live in the 600s!), through one of his many, many sons inheriting the leadership of the union?

In addition, how could this have occurred? I'm not particularly familiar with how Slavic society worked around this time, and there must've been some sort of reason preventing a Samosian dynasty. He seemed to be very well respected by the Slavs, perhaps loved, and he was also was, by all accounts I've seen, quite the effective commander, having smashed the Avars and even the Merovingians on several occasions. Why didn't this love and respect for Samo translate into a lasting dynasty?

The problem with Samo was that he didnt manage to become a King, only a Duke, yet wning several Duchies. With gavelkind succession, his realm fractured quickly...
Jokes aside, we arent sure precisely where the realm was, yet I presume that its seat was somewhere near Bratislava, encompassing the west Slovak lowlands, southern half of Moravia, Lower Austria north of the Danube, possibly also land of Sopron as well.
Samo was a foreigner, who managed to convince local chiefs vis-a-vis the Avars. The local chiefs were ardent to keep their position, thats why they failed to unify without Samo in the first place :)

The effect sof unified state would mean an earlier Slovak Empire/Great Moravia. Yet the Franks wouldnt have written about it, for they had their own problems at the time, and the avars blocked Greeks from the middle Danube
