Okay so anyone who has lived more than decade knows that Bush was largely reviled because of the false claims that Iraq had nuclear weapons.

Say Iraq does a clandestine nuclear program that is discovered after the 2003 invasion how will that effect perceptions of Bush domestically and internationally?

Will the anti-war movement be weaker? Discredited?

Will the democrats fail to make gains in 2006?

Will international public opinion be higher, the same, lower?

If WMD - nuke program, active (not stored) chem/bio weapons, significant numbers of stored chem/bio weapons, then Bush is vindicated. Butterflies the size of Mothra circulate.

Mothra=huge "moth monster" from 1950s/60s Japanese monster movies. Circulate=fly around the world flapping wings and causing historical changes.

IIRC by 2003 or earlier inspectors were satisfied Iraq no longer had a nuclear program.

Just finding nerve gas or other chemical weapons would've discredited the antiwar movement and boosted Bush.

Bush won anyway in 2004 despite no WMD.

Even if there were weapons found, the claims that they were planted would be widely believed. I think it would get more credence than the 9/11 inside job rubbish.
