Russian Constituent Assembly elected July 1917

I believe the initial plans of the Russian Provisional Government were for elections for the Constituent Assembly to be held in the summer of 1917, but Kerensky and others in the government agreed to a fatal delay at the behest of the Cadet Party. Assuming the initial plan went forward and such an assembly was elected and sat, we might have seen a very different outcome.
Assuming a strong Social Revolutionary performance as in OTL, would party leader Chernoff become Premier, or, assuming a Republic is ratified by the CA, President, with another SR as Premier? The new government would still face the same challenges of war and peace, social dislocation etc as in OTL, but even if it muddled along on the war and peace question, I wonder if it could have established more credibility and support from Russian society than the PG did. Then assuming a Bolshevik coup attempt still happens, I believe such a government would at least have had a fighting chance for a more coherent anti-coup defense than the Kerensky regime showed.
