I intentionally want it broad, because a confederated Russia has many possibilities after a USSR collapse. But I will say that the Central Asian, Baltic, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan states are totally independent as in otl. However, I feel that Belarus would like to stay with Russia, considering how close of allies that they are.
I think it would be interesting to think if Chechnya would be allowed a Confederate State hood or if this would strengthen or weaken the economy. Or even if the current conflict in the Ukraine would happen. Better yet, would Putin have as much power as he does today?
And if all the states in Russia would vote to go to war with Georgia if the August 2008 ethnic cleansing of South Ossetia happened, or if they would just allow it to happen.
And this could also be ASB, but Lali has appoint. Russia has always been centralized. I don't know in depth detail to come up with a reason as to why such a change.
