Was there any possible alternative outcome of events in or a little before WW1 that could have resulted in Russia:
not falling into or at least succumbing to revolution
not losing finland, the baltics, poland or any other areas, and in fact gaining:
east prussia and maybe some of silesia
galicia and maybe some of slovakia and hungary
romania
bulgaria
serbia (and montenegro and perhaps even albania too)
greece
thrace and anatolia (with the rest of the ottoman territory going to France and the UK or becoming independent)
with bonus for crete and cyprus
if russia were to somehow be triumphant like this over the CP, these areas would mostly be puppet states, but some of the adjacent ones would be annexed, or atleast parts of them.
As far as I know, Russia may or may not have been militarily capable of pulling osmething like this off. I'm assuming it was closer to not because a) it didn't happen, b) the germans were really strong, and c) russia was just a socio-economic mess by the time WW1 rolled around. So i guess a POD would have to alter the situation so that both russia is stronger and germany is weaker. Unless of course there's a particular battle or two that could have really turned the tables in Russia's favor at some point during the war. If there's a POD that earns Russia some of these "rewards" but not al of them, i'ld still be interested in hearing about it. I suppose a triumphant russia POD might be kind of ASB, but it sure is interesting to think about. A triumphant imperial russia leading into the interwar years and WW2 with finland, poland, the balkans, the aegean, and anatolia all under its control... sounds pretty badass to me.
