The Kingdom of Prussia had absolutely no cultural connection to Prussia in the geographical sense or the original ethnic Prussians - it was a re-titled Electorate of Brandenburg. It was only called 'Prussia' for convoluted political reasons.
Prussia may have had some cultural idiosyncracies, but it was no more a nation than South Carolina or Liguria are. In any case, the abolition of Prussia was backed up by an actual physical occupation of Germany, so the comparison is pointless.
