Vermont?

The Vermont where 67% of voters voted for Obama, more than any other state except Hawaii?

Strange, isn't it?

Vermont, along with other parts of New England, was Republican in the 1980s and for a long time before. They prevented FDR from having an EC sweep in '36.

I agree with Snowstalker. Even in the 1980s, Vermont would go Democratic before New Hampshire and Maine.

But then again, back when Hillary Clinton was a Republican in OTL she was a Rockefeller Republican. Depending on how far back the POD is, the two parties may be a bit different to OTL and so Vermont going Republican may be appropriate.
