Romans don't conquer Britain

Hi!

I'm sure this must have been done before, but here goes.

What would have happened had the Romans decided to not try to conquer Britain? Suppose they realize: "You know, we'll only be able to get halfway up that island -- don't bother. Let's focus on Germania instead."

Note that there's no Londinium in this timeline.

It's interesting to know great britain was indeed backwater then, a 'bled' to use french slang... not sure if romains gained hugely much from conquest.

Maybe Germanic peoples later would come anyway... If it was and become like Ireland, a pacchwork of kinglets.

Recent archaeological discoveries (by my university too!) suggest that pre-Roman Britain was actually pretty advanced, and trading with the continent. There was imported wine and olive oil and at least one planned town.
