Suppose for whatever reason archeologists find and document wrecks of Roman origin in the 1980s onwards. Suppose that Brazil (and other countries?) permit further exploration of their waters. Should a definitive set or multiple sets of evidence emerge that Romans were able to reach the Western Hemisphere, though perhaps not make the return voyage, what impact does this have (if any)?
