Roger Mortimer does not die in 1398

Roger Mortimer does not die in 1398, however, Richard II having made his fair share of enemies during his reign dies in early 1399, but not before creating an entail that names Mortimer as his heir-allegedly he did this otl with Edmund Mortimer- Richard is found dead, what happens next, does Mortimer claim the throne, or does Henry Bolingbroke/John of Gaunt claim the throne?

Most likely Mortimer does. What happens next depends on whether King Roger I tries to seize the Duchy of Lancaster as Richard did OTL. If he does his reign will probably be short.
