Gone Fishin'
In a scenario where President Kenndy is not killed in 63 and Robert Kenndy runs for New york senate i 1968. Is there any plausible way for Javits to win or is it a Kennedy slam dunk? I am thinkof ways for Robert Kennedy to lose tracvtion in the campaign and finds Javits a FORMIDABLE OPONENT.

Two term liberal Republican Senator Jacob Javits against an RFK not tempered by the death of his brother?

Javits is the front runner and will probably win.

I doubt RFK would run without his brother's death. He seemed uninterested in elected office, and without his brother dead, I tend to think he'd teach law somewhere after serving out eight years as his brother's Attorney General. Also, there'd be no worry about losing the Kennedy voice in Congress for Teddy was very much an active and popular senator from Massachusetts.
