Risks and Consequences: German-led Netherlands

Suppose Wilhelmina of the Netherlands marries a German husband who wishes to build 'closer' ties to Germany, possibly including eventual annexation. What are the risks of the Netherlands actually having this occur and if it happens how does it change anything, if at all?

What are the risks of the Netherlands actually having this occur
Practically zero. The Dutch monarch at the time of Wilhelmina did not have a lot of power and her husband had even less power(Prince Hendrik actualy became depressed because he considered himself useless). Beside that fact the Netherlands did not want to join Germany. A big part of Dutch diplomatic strategy of the late 19th and early 20th century was to avoid becoming part of Germany. For example they changed the Dutch succession laws to avoid a German prince tobecome the Dutch king if Wilhelmina died without leaving an heir.

So no, there is no risk for this to occur. if you want the Netherlands be part of Germany you need Germany to conquer the Netherlands and force themtoo (something pretty unlikely except for a nazi victory btw, which on its own is pretty unlikely).
