Rise of Arminius after Teutoburg Forest

What would change in European history, if Hermann/Arminius, the chieftain of the Germanic Cherusci, were to successfully unify the major tribal confederations in Germania after his victory over the Romans of Teutoburg Forest? And what if he were to survive the treachery and scheming of his enemies among the other Germanic tribal leaders?

Assuming that he manages to forge a kingdom, it probably fragments after his death. The other germanic tribes werent very interested in being united under one king, and in OTL he was killed because his tribesmen thought that he was to powerful. Even if he does manage to create the sort of unified kingdom that he desired, it falls to pieces after his death.

If such a Cherusci kingdom is short-lived, it may still yet inspire a trend for ambitious Germanic chieftains to replicate that feat, until someone after Arminius' time creates a permanent polity beyond the Rhine. The Suebi (based in eastern Germany) and the Marcomanni (Czech Republic) could have the potential to develop into centralized kingdoms.
