What if Richard the First was more interested in expanding his domains in France than in crusading?

Not a huge amount, since his father, Henry II, had already done that. At the time of Richard's succession to the throne, Scotland was an English vassal and paid annual tribute (which was the sum total of what the feudal-centric English kings of this era wanted Scotland to be in relation to England, there were no calls for annexation), so did Ireland which had recently been invaded and had Richard's brother John as Lord of Ireland with the High King of Ireland an English vassal, and Wales was mostly subjugated with all of its power crushed.

Does Philip II go? I would doubt that, because he was a rather canny operator and probably would realize how much departing while a Richard bent on conquest stays in his backyard. On the other hand, if he does go, this creates problems for the Capetians back home.

Now, if Philip remains, does Barbarossa go as the only European monarch, or does he stay in Germany? If he goes, butterflies might mean that he survives to push towards Jerusalem. Even if his accomplishments only mirror Richard's, the changes will be interesting, which would apply to any of those possibilities...
