Richard III wins the Battle of Bosworth

France would defeat any such invasion, handily so, definitely.

I'm not so convinced by a Pale of Dover idea. Frankly, I don't think it's worth it for Louis XI or Charles when he succeeds. He's got bigger fish to fry in Burgundy. More likely would be finding somebody with a half decent claim to the throne. If Richard is dead, he can be installed easily. If Richard is still alive said kid can be the focus of any rebellion. Either way, if hr wins, he'll be very grateful. Maybe somebody can get young Warwick out of London? An ambitious de la Pole? I'm sure somebody can be found, even if it's a Percy Warmneck or Lamkin Simkin (apologies to Sellar and Yeatman).

It wae just a suggestion, but yeah more likely they back the usurper of the week, it worked very well in OTL and as long as the english are offing each other they aren't killing Frenchmen.

Aye, it would be a nice little tit for tat. If France had less chance of meddling on the Rhine, or in Italy, it could even be a possibility. Unless there's serious changes to OTL, it would only ever be a vanity project / snub to the English.
