Richard Duke of York

This is related to the post about alternative War of the Roses outcomes. Richard Duke of York does become king of England in 1453. He reigns for at least 30 years. How is his reign? Social, religious, and economic developments, relations with France and other countries.

Richard of York's chance of becoming king in 1453 is very small, he had almost no support from other nobles yet and he was just trying to be named heir apparent. Even if Henry VI had died instead of suffering a mental breakdown, someone else would have been appointed regent until Henry's son came of age.
