Reynaud's resignation comes before German invasion

IIRC, French prime minister Paul Reynaud had submitted his resignation as prime minister on the day of the German invasion of France and the low countries, May 10, 1940. President Lebrun didn't act on it due to the invasion.
Assuming the invasion had been delayed yet again, or an earlier resignation date, anyone have ideas of who was a potential successor? I believe I read somewhere that a pro-seperate peace candidate like Laval was one of those in contention. Or would a more pro-war candidate have emerged, to coincide with Churchill's elevation in Britain?

Laval wasn’t in the cabinet, you can rule him out.

The most likely person to step up if Reynaud had collapsed into self pity on 10 May, 1940 would be I think Edouard Daladier. He’d been Prime Minister until March when he’d resigned over France’s failure to aid Finland in its war with Russia. In May he was Minister of Defence and War. He was without doubt one of the most experienced members of government as well as on of the few with any aggression.

Do not expect this to change much with regard to the Battle of France but it might be significant fallowing the fall; Daladier would be more likely to continue the war from North Africa.
