Reverse Gnosticism

What if the gnostics denied Yeshua Bar-Yahweh's divinity instead of his humanity?

would there not be the denial of divinity today do to the lack of writings of apologists on humanity?

So what is he instead? Just a profet, a sorth of gnostic muhammed, another midel-eastern merlin with a magic book?

Arians at very minimum saw Christ as semi-divine. I think they would say that they saw him as divine, just created and subordinate to the Father, who was uncreated.

Arians denied the divinity of Christ. So do modern Jehovah's Witnesses and Unitarians.

but they are modern, this is probably because of so much doctrine focusing on the humanity of christ.

if there was a lot more documents on the divinity of christ i feel that it would be the humanity of christ that is more widely rejected.

i am also thinking of dan brown's the da vinci code.

Arians thought christ was the son of god, but not god born as man. This still make him divine, but not a god.

i am also thinking of dan brown's the da vinci code.

...According to which, the Gnostics did deny Jesus' divinity, but...

My wife and I are reading that together, and she's getting increasingly pissed off every time I mention a historical inaccuracy. Which happens approximately every other paragraph.
