Reverse Cold War 2.0

I had an interesting Idea
The *Axis is called the Entente to recall memories of WW1, and because France's reason for going fascist is that they felt cheated by this TL's Versailles

Haven't thought about this.

What I did think about is changing several parts of South America and the Middle East and North Africa (again) to strengthen the analogies there...

I enhanced the Middle East and split several nations from Canada (e.g. Quebec as a Finland analogue), but most notably Latin America (mainly South America). Now, there are a significant number of Catholic fundamentalist/extremist states in this region opposing Israel - and getting prosperous from exploiting resources and logging tropical rainforest - more often than not by employing de facto slave labour (again):

  • Arabia shall be the Venezuela analogue (that is why it is now a "communist" nation)
  • Palestine is the analogue of Panama
  • Iran could be Colombia
  • Egypt maybe as Peru? Or Colombia?

Is Turkey the Brazil?

Anyways, Zhukov is the Eisenhower. Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the UASR at that time is an original character called Matthew Richards.

Also, another original character, Scott Mason, is the Stalin

Both good ideas, but I don't think even Scott Mason would be remembered as genocidally insane dictator like OTL Stalin.

Also, Debs is still the Lenin
I imagine the US going socialist through a regular election (and maybe a coup followed by a short civil war), not a civil war quite as bloody as what followed after the October Revolution. And of coursse, Emiliano Zapata and his Zapatism is TTLs Titoism (later shunned by Scott Mason, Matthew Richards et al.)

That's actually really cool, maybe when Mason comes to power a bunch of generals, administrators, and scientists would leave for other nations due to his authoritarian rhetoric.
