Explain

First you will have to explain what happened with Pres. Obama and his VP. Then the election will turn on what is happening with the economy. If the unemployment rate is still above 8% then the Dems are in serious trouble. There has not been an election since FDR where the unemployment has been that high and the party in power remained in power.

Obama isn't the President. McCain is. Speaking of which, if Obama doesn't do so well against McCain in the 2008 election, do the Democrats still get their massive wins in congress?

Coattails

I would say that if McCain did get elected in 2008 then he would have a Dem congress although not as strongly dem as it was when so many were elected with Obama's coattails.

Polls closed. Russ Feingold is elected President of the United States in 2012. Woo-hoo. Now if you will please excuse me everyone... I need some time to think...
