Romania-Ukraine and Latvia-Belarus are new ones. Poor Estonia apparently half sank into the sea. The weirder part is that the Balkans actually look pretty good, even including Kosovo.Usually the TV station Arte does good programs.
But on this one they were somewhat sloppy with Eastern Europe

Good things: cities seem to be mostly well placed in their countries, I think; um...the Kerguelen islands are shown, which are so often missed; um... no that's it...

Honestly, it looks like the Eiffel Tower decided to take a North Sea vacation, more than anything.Britain looks ... interesting, and I see no sign whatsoever of Wales (which I suspect is what is making Britain look so ... interesting).
Netherlands seems to have expanded deep into the ocean>labeled as entire, total, and complete
>cuts off large parts of Northern America and Eurasia and completely excludes Antarctica aside from a note and an arrow pointing south.
Also shoutout to rhombus India
If Africa's shown on the right-hand side of the map, what's that to the west of the Indian Ocean on the left-hand side??
The fact that the Germans have *half* of Brazil is odd also. The best part is that you can see the post WWII borders of Poland, a county that wouldn't even have existed as a single Reichgau.Speaking of the Axis, here's a world map from amazon's The Man in the High Castle tv series showing the axis over modern day borders, are they expecting americans to point at the map and say "oh I recognize that line in south america, that means the germans own venezuela but not colombia!"
P.s. mods this counts as educational because the map is featured in a classroom
I can understand American/African borders being bad, but why Brazil and Uruguay?Just found out about this map from the Drew Durnil youtube channel:
