Maybe the color represents the Geologic Plate the area is on?????? Kamchatka is on the North American Plate.

i just checked that and actually it's not--the parts of Siberia north of Kamchatka are on the North American Plate, but Kamchatka itself isn't :p

though a series of countries based on the tectonic plates would actually be pretty cool, if implausible--feels like it could work for an alternate Gundam or something :)

France is tired of all the jokes about their flag being the surrender flag, so they have colored their entire country white to make a point.
But what really worries me is the vast canal system that apparently follows the borders of every country, and that all of Africa and Asia have fled in terror

Tunisia is the only African country brave enough to stand up to Europe.

For a change (and a laugh) a map that actually isn't that bad at all but rather a retort to all those USA maps mostly only show the lower 48 states and squeeze Alaska into a tiny corner.

That's such a beautiful Alaska-why the US look like the head of a deformed seagull?

A rather mild error, but a striking one

Next bad tiny globe, this time with really GREAT LAKES (I mean it!)

    badtinglobenext2.jpg

Although the difference between the globe sections strike me as especially odd. I mean look at the western US. While it is admittedly not great it is kinda okay for a globe of that size. But the section which contains the GREAT LAKES ...
