Retrospective US Presidential Election: 1992

Vote in the 1992 Retrospective US Presidential Election!

  • Total voters
    142
  • Poll closed .
I plan to run through every US presidential election, two per week. The 28 elections from 1789-1896 will be run simultaneously with the 28 elections from 1900-2008. Be sure to vote in each election!

For 1789-1800, I will include in the poll everyone who received at least 5% of the electoral vote. From 1804-2008, I will include everyone who received at least 0.05% of the popular vote. Results for each election will be posted on the dedicated Retrospective US Presidential Election Results Thread (here) and compared to the actual results. The thread for general project discussion is here.

Here's the link to the 1880 election.

Down with the DLC! Since Bush Sr. won't be as right wing this timeline, he's an acceptable alternative despite his idiot VP candidate.

Voted for Clinton when I was 6 years old in my first grade mock election and doing it again now.

Finally, we're into the elections where I don't feel leery about voting for a candidate.

Go Bill! I mean, HW, I really do like you, but I like Bill so much more. Bill Clinton is quite possibly unintentionally one of the biggest reasons I'm a social democrat today.

For crazy day Senior Year I wore a bag over my head with a Ross Perot bumper sticker taped to it.

I dont really consider him a Social Democrat since he scuttled the center left for the "third way"

Wow, you're one of the old-timers on this board like me. I was 9 when this election occurred. I must admit that I had very little interest in politics at the time. ;)

I too voted for Clinton in '92, the first grade class at Gay Avenue Elementary predicted the winner of every election back to 1976.

But since this is retrospective Im voting against him. Maybe if he hadnt sold out so much, especially on healthcare, Id stomach NAFTA and vote for him again.
