This is a somewhat in depth look into the final days of Raccoon City in the highly popular horror series, resident evil, I am taking basis on in game events from Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil Outbreak as well as parts from the film Resident Evil Apocalypse... Please note, all Name's and Locations and Major Event will be researchable online and can be connected to the games in one way or another... Consider this a more in depth constructed account of what most likely would have occurred before, during and after the events of resident evil 2.
September 23rd 1998 - 6PM: A local man getting ready for a football match at the Raccoon City Stadium, argues with his partner about attending the game, as his partner has noticed that over the past few days, he has gotten a very bad cough, sneezing and occasional head ache... Following a small argument, the man decides to attend the game the following day against his partners wishes.
September 24th 1998 - 3PM: During the football match, the man who was arguing with his partner the night before, suddenly collapses halfway through the game, and starts having what appears to be a mild seizure, after several fellow football fans assist the man with medical aid, he suddenly becomes violent and attacks the fans that are around him, the injuries are severe and include, deep cuts, bites and scratches, the Raccoon City Police Department are called in to quell the violence after it quickly escalates into a small riot which ends up in many of the spectators scrambling onto the pitch... Multiple officers are sent in including Kevin Ryman and Raymond Douglas, who beat back the rampaging spectators with batons and pepper spray, the match ends up being aborted due to the amount of violence and disruption that the event has caused, after an hour the situation is contained when the emergency gates are opened and hundreds of angry and scared spectators storm out of the football ground and evacuate the area, multiple people are arrested for violence, and many more are sent to the Raccoon City Hospital for treatment, a few people are even killed in the outburst of violence.
September 24th 1998 - 6.30PM: After writing a report over the past two hours on the violent events that occurred in the football stadium, Kevin Ryman, submits his report to his superior, Officer Marvin Branagh, after clocking out for the evening, he decides to visit Jacks Bar for a drink, and even invites Raymond Douglas to join him, but Raymond politely refuses, stating that he's heard several reports over the radio of violent attacks all over the city, and will catch up with Kevin later once the city has calmed down.
September 24th 1998 - 7PM: After spending about twenty minutes in the bar chatting to some of the regulars with a drink, Kevin looks up at the seven o clock news and raises his glass to the report of the earlier football riot which he helped contain, shortly after the report finishes, a security guard in his late 50's, collapses and Kevin, along with the security guards colleague, tend to him and provide aid, as this is happening, a stumbling man enters the bar, and attracts the attention of Will, the manager, Will approaches the customer and hears mild moaning and groaning, and asks the man if he his ok, the man slowly looks up, and grasps at Will, grabbing hold of his waist coat and biting down on his neck... Kevin quickly rushes over, and pistol whips the man over the head with the butt of his .45 calibre pistol and drags the man outside with Will, after getting the man outside, both Kevin and Will notice dozens of people stumbling in the street in the exact same manner as the man they had just ejected from the bar... Multiple screams are heard outside along with several gun shots, car crashes and people running past screaming for help, Kevin and Will get back inside, before Kevin rushes over to the phone on the bar, and calls the Police Department for assistance, an officer answers the phone and demands that Kevin "gets his ass back here as soon as possible to assist" and that dozens upon dozens of scared civilians are pouring into the police station seeking shelter... Kevin gathers the few survivors that are left in the bar, including Mark Wilkins, the Security Guard he assisted earlier, Cindy Lennox, a waitress at the bar, and David King, a local plumber... Together they quickly escape the bar by using a rear service entrance, usually only open for deliveries, but soon find themselves back on the street.
September 24th 1998 - 7.30PM: After working their way down several streets towards the sound of gunfire, Kevin bumps into Raymond Douglas wielding a shotgun and firing at several of the infected zombies, Raymond is surprised to see Kevin still alive, and needs assistance building a barricade to seal off the street, Kevin and the rest of the group, quickly push an abandoned police car into position in order to create a temporary barricade to prevent the infected from spreading... Raymond provides covering fire with his shotgun and explains that people started pouring into the station, injured and afraid, and within half an hour, dozens of people had occupied the station and gunfire was being reported around the entire city, Raymond was dispatched to find out what was going on, and during his ride to one of the reported shootings, he drove into a large group of the infected and ended up losing a fellow officer, before opening fire on the entire group of infected in order to keep them contained... During the brief conversation, a radio report from Raymond's police car confirms that the only way to kill the infected is with either mass blood loss or destroying the brain, and that several doctors turned up stating that what is happening around the city is an infection and that the hospital is barely holding on amongst an onslaught of attackers, Raymond gets caught off guard after a zombie crawls under the police car used to make a barricade, and sinks his teeth into his leg and pins him down, Raymond in one last ditch effort to save his colleague, chucks Kevin his lighter and directs him towards an abandoned fuel truck and demands him to blow the steet to hell... Kevin quickly runs towards to the fuel track with David... David breaks the fuel tank and stuffs a piece of newspaper into the fuel trucks tank and Kevin lights it, before all the survivors quickly run down the road as fast as they can, before the fuel truck explodes behind them throwing debris and zombies all over the road.
