Research for an Assasinated FDR timeline

Well, I just reposted a few of the bits from the later end of the TL. ("End" in the sense that it's where I stopped.)

But sure, feel free.

This thread is connected to my new timeline A Bucket of Warm Spit: A world without FDR. I'm now going to use this thread for throwing ideas around for my timeline. If anyone has suggestions, they are welcome.

Here is a link to the timeline https://www.alternatehistory.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=173568

So now here is another idea I want to throw at you. I'm really tempted to make America stay out of ww2. However, if I do this, I'm not going to have an axis victory. It will still be an allied victory, but a much more costly one, with the soviets controlling ALOT more of europe. What do you think?

I'm always tempted to see a Soviet/British victory in WWII and I agree, without the United States, it's likely to end up with the Soviets controlling a lot, lot more.

I'd say ALL of Germany, Denmark, Greece, Austria as well as OTL countries. Italy will go communist in an election (say). France will not. Personally, De Gaulle has enough force of personality to prevent that. The Low Countries and Norway should stay democratic due to proximity to Britain and likelihood they would invade first.

Oh, and Doug's full TL attached.

Doug's TL is very useful. Danke.

I keep reading these timelines and discussions, and I'm wondering why just about everybody on AH.com seems to think that without the New Deal the depression only gets worse? Of course, the only reason I have a problem with this assumption is probably because I'm a filthy libertarian.
