I understand if this is a lot of work, and totally understand if people choose not to do this, but it would be for a possible non-Fandom TL down the line. The year is 1979, a worlda map is preferred, and it's 18 years since the collapse of the Nazi empire.

Europe
- Germany is divided into 10 states (Rhineland, Silesia, Saxony, Hanover, Hamburg, Bavaria, Baden-Wurttemburg, Austria, Bremen, Alemannia), of which two [Bremen and Alemannia] are still under the control of the United Nations
- Poland controls all territory in both pre- and OTL post-war Poland, with the exception of Silesia
- Belgium is broken up into Wallonia, Flanders, and Brussels
- Ukraine is independent, has the borders of the Ukrainian SSR, excluding Crimea (which is independent)
- Belarus is independent, has the borders of the Belarusian SSR
- The Baltics are independent in 1939 borders
- The USSR is still around, but limited to Russia, the Central Asian republics, and Azerbaijan
- Czechia is independent, includes the Sudetenland, and excludes Czech Silesia
- The Yugoslav states have their 1991 borders, all are independent (includes Kosovo and North Macedonia)
- Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece have their pre-war borders

Middle East
- Israel controls all of Mandate Palestine, Sinai, and Golan Heights
- Syria is divided into Alawistan, Kurdistan (Iraqi and Syrian Kurdistan), and Syria
- Suez Canal is under UN control
- Egypt and Sudan have united
- A Franco-Algerian state is independent in western Algeria (departments of Alger, Orleansville, Mostaganem, Oran, Tlemcen, Saïda, Tiaret, and the Saoura department)

Africa
- The DR Congo and Congo are unified
- Katanga is independent
- South Sudan and Uganda have united
- The Mali Federation (Senegal, Mali) includes Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, and Niger
- Namibia is independent of South Africa
- Spanish and Portuguese colonies are still around
- Tangiers is UN-run

United Nations Controlled
- Suez Canal
- Panama Canal
- Alemannia
- Bremen
- Tangiers

EDIT: corrected Silesia/Polish border request

So which country controls Czech Silesia? Poland?
And who controls this territory? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zakarpattia_Oblast

EDIT: corrected Silesia/Polish border request

Working on Europe under your idea.

Is this correct, or are there several mistakes I should improve?

Rhineland should look like the Rhine Province of Imperial Germany, and Kaliningrad should be part of Poland. The rest of it looks good, thank you so much!

If you want a more Rhinelandic looking Rhineland, we need two more independent German states, Westphalia and Hesse, or we should give Westphalia to Hannover.

Bremen is a little bit larger, because a UN-occupation force probably wants to control the road between Bremerhaven and the main city of Bremen.

Hm... Let's give Westphalia to Hanover.

That makes sense, actually. Thank you.

Can someone make me a worlda for a North America in my world? I suck at making maps, and I want something to have, just in case I wanna keep building it (the scenario is also not the most realistic in existence, but please roll with it.) It's a good bit of work, but if anyone wants to do it, here's the specifications:

  • The United States has all of the Oregon Country up to the 54' 40 parallel, Cuba, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico, but doesn't have the territories it annexed from Mexico after the Mexican-American War.
  • Its internal divisions look like this (from @Kaiser Chris's TL "Lone Star Republic)
upload_2018-1-15_5-11-55.png

  • Texas and California are independent, with these borders
californiatx1.png

  • Canada has all of British North America, minus the Oregon Country, but with Alaska
  • Mexico has its OTL borders, plus the Gadsden Purchase land
  • Everything else is OTL

Hm... Let's give Westphalia to Hanover.

Work in progress Europe.
I'm a little bit unsure about the correct borders of Estonia and Latvia towards Russia.

Those areas of Upper Silesia, which where Polish in the Interwar years, are Polish in this map.
I made Iraqi Kurdistan a little bit thicker, since it is a little bit thin (those are a few parts of the areas claimed by Iraqi Kurdistan in OTL)
Bavaria owns the Palatinate as an exclave since this makes Rhineland look more Rhinelandic and has a historical basis.

Most of the rest of the map is now adding OTL borders and coloring the nations unchanged + Adding the Soviet Union with its remaining republics.
I just want to finish Europe and Northern Africa, not the entire world in the next days.

Differences from OTL still missing (not on the planned map in Italics)
- Egypt and Sudan have united
- A Franco-Algerian state is independent in western Algeria (departments of Alger, Orleansville, Mostaganem, Oran, Tlemcen, Saïda, Tiaret, and the Saoura department)

Estonia and Latvia look right, at least to my eye.

I like it! And I like the look, it works well with what I had in my head.

It does, I like it. It looks good!

Sounds good! I really do appreciate it.

Of course! There's no rush on this, take your time.

Me, @HonestAbe1809, @pieman97405, @Miguel Lanius, @chankljp, and others have always done a fair share of Fallout world building for various regions of the Earth, often the ones with next to nothing about. I know this is a lot, and feel free to do what you want, but anyone who would be up to this, I give thanks to the upmost.

Asia/China and Co.

The Ying Dynasty: American take on the Yuan/Qing dynasty founded by American and Allied forces under General Ridgeway. Capital in Shenyang, rules most of Northen China, and parts of former North Korea along the Yule River. (Chagang Province.)

Yankee Horde: A warlike, brute, yet honorable society descendant of American and Russian forces that fled into Mongolia just after the Great War by General MacAuley, Supreme Commander of United States Army Forces in the Far East and first Khan. Capital in Ulaanbaatar. Controls Mongolia itself, Lake Baikal, and parts of China. (See massive DMZ between Ying and Horde, along between the Ying and PRC.)

Shanghai- A high-tech settlement that's like a combination of New Vegas and Kowloon.

The PRC- The main remnant of the Pre-War People's Republic that hung onto the cult of personality of Cheng so hard it ironically became a theocracy. Capital in Nanchang running along the coastline south of Shanghai and North Kong.

Commonwealth of Hong Kong- A Shi-like faction descended from British personnel working on the helicarrier Pegasus when the bombs dropped. Controls the Pearl River region.

Korea: Remnants of North Korea in Seoul. Now a semi-democratic oligarchy.

Sichuan Republic: A throwback to the early days of the Republic of China rule by the Post-War dynasty, the Eckhart Family. Capital in Chengdu and surrounding areas.

United States of Japan: A American-Japanese mixed state that unlike the Ying, stayed democratic. Capital in Hiroshima which rules most of Southern Japan.

Japanese Shogunate: The remnant of the former Japanese government. Is resentful of the fact that the “liberators” have decided to settle down and occupy part of the country. There are also a bunch of de facto independent warlords calling themselves Daimyo that only give lip service to the Emperor. Main capital in Aizu.

Free State of Niigata: Disputed area between the USJ and the Shogunate which while under permanent martial law, is one of the safest regions of the Wasteland.

Macau: Itself. Uneasy balance of power between Triads ruling as feudal lords and the official government.

Empire of Singapore: Rule by a series of Pirate Queens/Empress with one of the finest fleets in Asia. Malay Peninsula and various other bits.

Far East Republic: Russo-Chinese state. Capital Vladivostok. Khabarovsk Krai.

People's Collective: A somewhat small fortified community in Shaanxi lead by a massive mutated clone of Mao who's been ironically marked for death by the PRC for being evidence against their claims that Cheng was a god-on-earth.

Middle East.

Protectorate of Cyprus: British Remnant that sees a a fusion of British, Greek, and Turkish culture along with Jews, Maronites/Coptics, and Worshipers of Poseidon. Rules Cyprus itself and Syrian coast and part of Lebanon.

Stumme-Kléber Kingdom: Freaco-German State that has embrace the worship of the Egyptian Gods and Pharaonism. Capital of Luxor.

Holy Kingdom of Ethiopia: Gone full on Solomonic dynasty-House of David/Prestor John.

Herodian Kingdom: Headquartered in Bethlehem.

Independent City of Jerusalem.

Caesarea Maritime.

Jericho and the Dead Sea.

Water Barons of Northen Israel.

Ireland. (2209.)

Connacht: The conservative hyper-catholic Ireland.

The Peoples Republic of Cork: A communist/revolutionary flavoured Munster.

Anglicised and classist Leinster.

Weirdly medieval Ulster.

Peaceful Belfast.

The Morrgian: Violent Pagan Death Cults that roam Ireland and parts of England with a vengeance.

Germany and Co.

New Prussia, center around Potsdam. Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and parts of Poland.

Absolutist Austrian Empire: Lower Austria, Upper Austria, and border regions of former Czechoslovakia.

Authoritarian Austria: Tyrol.

Saxony.

People's Republic of the Rhine: Stranded Warsaw Pact units trapped in the ruins of West Germany following the Great War. So the government and military are descended from a mix of stranded Slavic peacekeepers, Dutch, Belgian, Freach, and the remnants of whatever German state arose from the collapse of the EC. The strategic resources are collectively owned but it's also a genuinely democratic state.

New Hanseatic League: Controlling a string of port settlements from Holstein to Brittany.

Bavaria.

And India?

Are you asking for a worldmap or for flags for the various entities ?

Both would be nice.

(Maybe not world map, but region by region.)

Yeah. We do have a few flag ideas for them. (Abe's idea for the Ying was the image of a bald eagle stylized to look similar to the Chinese dragon on the old Chinese Empire flag.)

And India?

Oh India. I have some older ideas for them.

India and Co.

The PRC had a secret horrific biological research in Mount Everest, which they nuked to cover it up after a outbreak. This end up poisoning the Ganges with irradiated floodwater and therefore exaggerating the mutant population of the region. This is everything from third eyes to things that look like aborted fetuses with psychic powers to all manner of monsters. Pretty nightmarish stuff.

The Mandeline Kingdom: A human state in Southmost India. Think a Fallout version of the Chola Tamils and Kerala dynasties. Massive DMZ to deal with the massive ghoul and mutant north of them from the Ganges.

New Sikh Empire: Lead by the 'Tiger of Lahore', using Pre-War Chinese weapons, and Legion-tier militarism, it have been in a battle for life, and death against the Mutants of the Ganges, the Persians to the West, the Muslims to the South, and the Tribes always attacking from old Central Asia for centuries. In fact still a major cultural central thanks to not getting nuked and Chinese style underground bases.

Balochistan: Loose collection of Baloch groups armed with Pre-War American, and British weapons from before the Great War. (Often was called '"America's backdoor into the Red Menace's backyard!")

Mehran: A lot of mystic Muslims and roaming Sufi tribes, who are surprisingly strong, and has rebuild the Ranikot Fort to keep away the Physic nightmarish Mutants from Northen India out.

Kashmir: An socialist garrison state and well-fortified citadel with a ton of automatic defense systems left by the Chinese. They've got a natural barrier in the form of the Hindu Kush mountains and the radioactive deserts around old Islamabad, too. (And irreligious of all things.)

Central Asia.

CPSU territory; where all the loyal party members, the workers of the world, were left to die. That's where you get your more honest attempts to revive the USSR in Kazakhstan . (Although it is less Leninist, more Syndicalist this time around.)

Baikonur Cosmodrome: Soviet Big Mountain mad house Atomic Heart style.

Ethnic conflict in Kyrgyzstan.

not meant as an attack but it feels weird that despite being obliterated in Fallout's Great War, the US ends up influencing *more* territories than they did OTL. It just feels like a missed opportunity to have genuinely local versions of "Wastelands".

For example, It seems like having non-US related chinese polities would be a bit more fun. That is to say, have a genuinely chinese-centric chinese monarchist country instead of a US backed puppet state.

I made French Algeria a little bit larger, to connect the provinces you mentioned.

And here is the map.

I made French Algeria a little bit larger, to connect the provinces you mentioned.

It looks amazing! Holy hell, thank you!

That small little portion of Franco-Algerian Sahara, it's surrounded pretty much entirely between Mali and Algeria, you can give that to Algeria. Can you also unite Eritrea and Ethiopia, and make Cyprus united (give Northern Cyprus to Cyprus)? Actually, you can also give the Bavarian exclave to the Rhineland.

It seriously looks amazing though, thank you so much.

The USA itself was obliterated in the Great War. Stuff like the USJ, and the Ying are the result of the American forces being centered in Asia suriving and form their own nations. The Ying isn't a US backed puppet state, but stranded American forces in Northen China. The USJ is a genuine republic for the most part with the best of America and Japanese values.
