@Bomster 's is amazing but i think that one of the main principles of flag disign is that you may have the young of your nation drawing it in school and you don't want to utterly crush them.
Yes, but that's not as important as symmetry and symbolism. And a flag being able to be drawn by children doesn't mean it should be accurately reproduced. It simply means a very crude reproduction will still resemble the original. Take the US flag. Even if a kid draws it with the wrong number of stripes and stars, it will still be recognizeable as the US flag.

@Raziel27n Here it is, crude but it has a certain charm.

I'd suggest making the blue a little lighter, but otherwise that seems an excellent compromise between the two designs.:)

such detail, much like, wow

I actually like both designs - it strikes me that if one were to combine elements from both designs (the bold simplicity of the torch and star from the upper design, but rendered as an outline per your more complex design, you'd have a very solid standard in its own right).

Hey guys... I'm in a little bit of a pickle. Doing some work for a D&D and I tried to create these flags but I'm not really good at this stuff. I tried using art but the flags look fake and I would really appreciate some expert help.
Flag 1:
A fictional shark infested island of the coast of australia.
Two horizontal stripes of equal width, the upper one orange the lower one blue, with a shark fin peeping out of the blue.

Flag 2:
The land of Israel is run by biblical priests. A twelve piece field stylized like the priestly breastplate (a device used in the bible, it even has a page on wikipedia). In the middle of it all- a black star of david.

Flag 3:
A micronation in Japan devoted to the religion of pokemon. Three stripes, vertical, representing the starting pokemon- so red, blue, green. The green stripe has within it a yellow lighting bolt representing electric type.
A lot of real world flags use white somewhere, especially to separate colors. Also, they tend to stick to three colors max if it's squares or stripes or something like that.

For Tigeria, I would put the fin in a white circle with a thin white stripe seperating the orange and blue (or maybe no stripe.)

For the Jewish flag, I would have a blue field of some kind with a white Star of David and 12 white squares circling around it.

For the Pokémon one, I would just have a white stripe separating each of the colors and ditch the lightning bolt. Maybe make the stripes horizontal and have a white canton with a silhouette of a Pikachu or something if you really need to keep the electric theme going.

Again, these are just suggestions, and feel free to be creative! These should just make the flags seem a bit more "realistic," if that's what you want. :)

Can someone make a Soviet-esque flag but instead of the hammer and sickle underneath the star there is a yellow gear with lady liberty’s arm holding up wheat inside? Or perhaps instead of wheat it’s must a torch like the OTL Statue of Liberty.

what about a more stylised version ? the torch is the same style as on the flag of indiana and the weath and gear and inspired by the canadian communist party.

tried that, it decreased the contrast with the central emblem

Fair Enough!:)

Very, very elegant Mr Pasquin - it's so very lovely that one is tempted to "borrow" it as the flag of the Timeline-191 US Socialist Party (although I've also been toying with the idea that banner would be just a version of Old Glory differenced by having an entirely red field while retaining a blue canton with the proper number of White Stars - between 33 & 35 if I remember correctly).

I'm having more trouble working out what the local Democratic symbol ought to be - probably not the Donkey used in our timeline, since I imagine the role of Theodore Roosevelt as GREATEST US PRESIDENT would likely cause them to adopt the Bull Moose as their symbol (TR as a DEMOCRATIC President ... "Southern Victory" can be a truly odd timeline), but at least so far as FILLING THE GAPS canon goes I tend to imagine the "War Party" would use a fairly belligerent symbol.

Perhaps a star-spangled shield? Perhaps a visual expression of the idea that "I come not to bring Peace but a sword" instead ... I'll have to think on that one.

I have a request for a flag representing a spacefaring machine nation run by Cyborgs, Androids, and other machines.
Something like this?
Pan-Robotist Flag.jpg

The sigil is a cogwheel combined with the electronic symbol for a diode, representing the hardware and software of the nation's citizens. The diode is inside the cogwheel the symbolize the spirit of the machine within its mechanical form. The background is in or (gold), which historically symbolized heavenly bodies and the sun, which makes sense because this is a spacefaring empire, and it stands out against the hulls of the ships which it will likely be stenciled on. Or also symbolizes virtues and faith, which in this case symbolizes the programming of the robotic citizens of the nation.

political flags in the US tend to be the party logo either on a play field or one with one of many varied and purely decorative background so maybe concentrate on the logos themselves. In that regard, the 2 parties *here* have logos that mirror one another so maybe come up with one first then figure some appropriate counterpart. For example, a red/white/blue torch silhouette for socialists and a red/white/blue sword silhouette for democrats or an eagle facing front with wings spread above crossed swords for democrats and an eagle in profile with one talon sticking out holding a small red flag for socialists.

Some ideas for you Flagbearer

I'd use a whole light grey shark so it doesn't clash so much.

The colours are clashing and the star is difficult to see. A simple bicolour 3x4 check would maintain the pattern. Gold/Orange and White? Over that the black star will be more visible.

The bolt needs to be centred or on the hoist to be properly visible on the flag as the fly flaps the most.
Your ideas are indeed welcome and im so happy that you put thought into it. It's good cause you're experienced and I'm... well... not
But the problem is the flags look fake, they don't look real. Not brcause of the design but because they're made by an amateur hand using an amatuer software. I'd love it if someone would care to help!

I tried my hand at the first and last flags. I'm not touching that Israeli flag though.

1st has two iterations because I was frankly unhappy with the grey fin. The second does run the risk of implying a wave rather than a fin but that should be bypassed by the association of the country's history of sharks. Choose whichever you like.

For the Pokemon flag I darkened the shades and centered the lightning bolt, and switched the blue and green because yellow compliments blue more so than green, although that's just my opinion.
