I have an idea for a map concept that is swishing inside my mind for a while. What if Pink Diamond from the Steven Universe world rebelled and founded her own state isolated from the rest of the world?
The dark pink is the Anthrian Zones, for the humans. Over time, she moderated on the humans after *several* revolts and insurrections, and in HY 1680 grants them autonomy, and does a UK-style devolution. I heard from the series that the 'shattering' of PD was 000 years ago, so she had to deal with these humans, who were in serfdom for over 48000 years. The Hot Pink is the Kindergarten Zones, to create new "Crystallians". Those are gems who sided with her. This has been a controversy since it's opening up in 1934, as it was known to cause extreme environmental damage, rendering several species extinct in the last decade, and causing the League to consider sanctions on the country if it continues. Also 29.2% of the population are hybrids from the thousands of years of interbreeding, who have formed a stable population and didn't end up being a genetic trait. They are the most disenfranchised due to their impure status by both populations. The Humans still make a majority 41% of the population but are financially, and socially inferior to the Crystallians due to the Apartheid-like laws to ensure their survival. This has made the country unstable recently with the rise of ideologies such as communism, fascism, the birth of the internet, new weapons, support by various special interest groups, and the birth of Anthropocentrism, or Human-Nationalism. The ideology espouses human unity and resistance to the enemy, along with segregation of the species as humanity is too pure to be with the foreigners, and a land redistribution as the 'rocks' are the foreigners and must leave. This has lead to the government being deadlocked between the Moderates, who want a equal society under the Diamond, the Unionists, who advocate the fusion of peoples, the Traditionalists, who argue for the status quo, and the Anthrists, who favor human supremacy. There is a more radical Anthrist group the National-Anthrists, who favor Nazi style racialism. The National Congress, which is to be proportional between the three groups is facing deadlock, and the Diamond is considering enacting the Law for Control, an article that can return the government to a more absolute system until the situation is handled. Any attempt is met with riots, as the Revolutions were to create a constitutional monarchy, and not to return to a Diamondist State. A Diamondist State is a strict caste system where the Diamond is supreme over all. think an absolute monarchy....on steroids. Many Humans oppose it and a return would mean a loss of their rights, and have lead human riots. There are counter riots by the Crystallians, and the Hybrids are demonstrating for an abolishment of the Diamond and for a republic, yet the Crystallians are still trying to break out of "Diamondist Syndrome" where they show loyalty and devotion to the diamond to a North Korea level of devotion, despite the Diamond herself advocating for independence programs and self-sufficiency of all. The country will have a new election for the Grand Governor and war will be ensured if something doesn't change. The Diamond might hae to do desperate things, but will she save, or doom this country she built?

Also the Anthrian Zones are the zones that are the most habitable for humans. Such examples would be the Nile, Ethiopia, and other such areas, General Areas are where the Crystallian (TTL word for Gem) and Humans live. Ethnic homelands would be for those groups that have resisted rule or are too resilient to assimilate. Such places would be for the Somali, Tigray, Oromo, Somali and a lot more. the Development Zones (Kindergartens in SU sense) would be far away in geological regions not inhabited by humans. Kingdoms would be for the ceremonial rulers who would rule their kingdom, but could be revoked by the Diamond. Also there are like long stretches for space for the loops

May I please request a variation on the "Stars and Bars" Confederate Flag (the one based so slavishly on the Stars and Stripes that the design caused quite lethal confusion on more than one battlefield until the famous Battle Flag was adopted) that features sixteen stars in the canton, with 13 of those stars arranged into a circle within which 3 stars have been sited?

I was recently contemplating how the flag of the CSA might have changed following the Great War in Timeline-191 and read somewhere that the South did not actually remove the stars symbolising their Lost States of Sequoyah & Kentucky from the national flag; I'm not sure if this is true, but it did inspire me to imagine a change in the flag's design that would symbolise the loss of these States and the dismemberment of Texas (hence the three stars within a ring of thirteen).
I am not sure if the three extra stars inside the ring of thirteen should be larger than the others and would greatly appreciate your thoughts, as experts on the subject of vexillological design.

I absolutely love that diamond pattern of stars; in fact I'm something of mark for any star-spangled banner that does something with those celestial bodies beside scatter them evenly across the field - it really does make the design POP in just the right way!

Hey guys... I'm in a little bit of a pickle. Doing some work for a D&D and I tried to create these flags but I'm not really good at this stuff. I tried using art but the flags look fake and I would really appreciate some expert help.
Flag 1:
A fictional shark infested island of the coast of australia.
Two horizontal stripes of equal width, the upper one orange the lower one blue, with a shark fin peeping out of the blue.
Flag 2:
The land of Israel is run by biblical priests. A twelve piece field stylized like the priestly breastplate (a device used in the bible, it even has a page on wikipedia). In the middle of it all- a black star of david.
Flag 3:
A micronation in Japan devoted to the religion of pokemon. Three stripes, vertical, representing the starting pokemon- so red, blue, green. The green stripe has within it a yellow lighting bolt representing electric type.

Requesting a flag for a surviving Latin Empire, under the Sicilian branch of the Hohenstaufen dynasty. As this Frankokratia i envisage also includes the kingdoms of Sicily and Jerusalem, i'd like it if they were implied in the flag.

Does anyone think they'd be able to replace the shield from the first picture (eagle) with the one from the second picture (Iberian Union CoA)? Just the shield from the second one, so - if possible - maybe keeping the crown from the first picture and adding the two Plus Ultra pillars from the third picture.
No access to design but i sketched at quick one. Essentially the base flag is of LRE: gold cross on red bearing a ringed cross in gold in each corner. Over the centre is the arms of the Hohenstaufen King of Jerusalem & Sicily: white cross on gold escutcheon (Jerusalem) over a black eagle on white. The eagle could be single or double headed.
Some ideas for you Flagbearer
I'd use a whole light grey shark so it doesn't clash so much.
The colours are clashing and the star is difficult to see. A simple bicolour 3x4 check would maintain the pattern. Gold/Orange and White? Over that the black star will be more visible.
The bolt needs to be centred or on the hoist to be properly visible on the flag as the fly flaps the most.
thanks. I was afraid that making the pattern square (3x3) would be both boring and look too much like a US flag. While the flags of texas, yucatan and Rio Grande were ultimately inspired by the US flag, I was hoping that by using the diamond pattern might tone down this link and might help people in-the-know think of the first 3 entities more strongly instead.

@Bomster 's is amazing but i think that one of the main principles of flag disign is that you may have the young of your nation drawing it in school and you don't want to utterly crush them.
