could have been oak leaves, they were used as part of the emblem of the 3rd republic anyway (the ones at the left). Do you remember the name of the museum in french, I'd be curious to see any prototypes they have.

no not in french- im more into cartography and history
all i know about its location is that it is in a 50 mile diameter from brittany

@Tiro a bit late to the party but I echo Marc, the white cross was more civilian but in France it's associated with monarchism (in New France however...). As an aside it's interesting that France and England swapped crosses at some point!

Thank You for the suggestion, Professor.:)

I would like to request a flag for a communist United States of America. It would be similar to the OTL USA flag, but the stars would be removed and replaced with a cog to represent industrial workers. Inside the cog would be a torch to represent liberty with wheat stalks on both sides of the torch to represent farmers/agricultural workers.

I hope it's not too complicated. Thanks in advance.

Sure if you can give us some background
My story centres upon a former Australian Army Officer (Former Commando JTAC) that establishes a Himalayan kingdom. Lots of adventure, shooting & (for here) non gratuitous sex scenes.

A couple of years ago Upvoteanthology did the design above for the National Flag and I still really like it. Now back to the heart of the matter, the Amdo are a Tibetan Buddhist ethnic minority within the Khorasan (read Afghanistan) and when Khorasan falls to the Taliban they establish their own independent state. As part of that the Royal Amdon Regiment is formed with the 1st Battalion being called the Khishig (Guards) to the Royal Household and also perform an airborne & air assault function. Whereas the 2nd and 3rd Battalions are light infantry with the 2nd Battalion specialising in high altitude warfare.

I haven't worked out the individual Battalion colours just yet, so there is some leeway here and I would look at the Indian Army and the British Army (along with the Australian Army) for inspiration. Broadly speaking the Amdo use kukris as well (can't go past those bad boys) and one of the national animals is the Yak.

Let me know if you want to know more.

Are we talking modern day, future or past ?

regardless of precise time, India, UK and Australia usually follow the same general pattern so the Amdo regimental colours would probably have a design of "badge in wreath on plain field surrounded by battle honours". Maybe the wreath could be composed of some locally significant plant instead of oak leaves.

Since it is a kingdom, each regiment would probably also have a Royal Colour which could be the national flag but with the central emblem made slightly smaller and surrounded by a border in contrasting colours containing the name of the regimental and topped by the royal crown.

Well picked up - present time, although it is in a slightly different TL and one that I haven't fully fleshed out. Needless to say if you were transported from TTL to the RoTW verse then you would feel at home.

Edelweiss flowers are also found in Khorasan, but I think they might opt for the very beautiful Marigold flower, please see below. Which is also quite popular in Nepal, which is another influence for my fictional country.

I also thought about the possible animal that could be used for the central emblem and could be either the profile of a snow leopard head or perhaps even a yak.

Request for a flag of an ultranationalist Han-dominated fundamentalist Chinese state, preferably with the use of the Tian Chinese character. Would be appreciated for a TL with my friends, thanks!

what kind of political system ? monarchy, republic or something else ? Also, what time period ?
It's more or less fascist/authoritarian, 30s-40s is when the state takes over, it's homegrown, not inspired by foreign political parties, cult of personality, etc. It sees itself as fighting a struggle against pretty much everyone else (Fights an incredibly brutal civil war) And sees enemies on all sides, anti-communist, but also anti-imperialist, Han supremacist. China ITTL basically was kicked to the ground way worse than OTL by foreign powers, and this group took control as a response to a century of humiliation on steroids. Hope this helps

Could I please get a blank map of Daia, the main planet in my worldbuilding project the Safir Alliance, in either the Robinson or the Kavrayskiy VII projection? A version in the equirectangular projection follows. (Illus. Shyriath Bukolos)

Can someone point me to an MBAM of Europe with just first-level divisions, and/or one with just country borders?

has anyone ever made a q-bam of the bosniaks in serbia/ montenegro? preferably 1800 but anything before genocides will do. i want it for a 1848 map ive been working on for awhile now.
edit: actually, a conversion of this map from wikipedia would also be swell, as for now ive just decided to say the sandzak region is the range of bosniaks in serbia-montenegro

the colour red was used to represent the Han in the first flag of the Chinese Republic so maybe something like this:
