Hi, I've made a rudimentary design for a flag for a country based on the area between Stanstead and Newport, Vermont. The flag looks very amateurish and like it was designed by a moddle schooler. Could anyone help fix it up or give any suggestions on how to improve it?View attachment 861872
best advice: simplify the design as much as possible. for example, instead of something that looks like an actual map, have a brownish-orange diagonal line going from top right to lower left with 6 yelow stars and a blue and a blue diagonal line groin from top left to lower right behind the other line.

I tried to change some things, I liked the general gist of things and that it was more symplistic but it felt to scotlandy. i dont know how to use photoshop or any other fancy... could you help clean this and make it more flag-y?

there's a concept in vexillography that goes "don't use 4 colours if you can use 3" so how about one of these

Does anyone have a very large, correctly shaped and easily editable (IE PNG, not vector) map of Great Britain, one large enough to place around a hundred cities on?
How's this? It's based on the maps in the wiki blank map directory, so credit goes to the original maker, not me: https://www.alternatehistory.com/wiki/doku.php?id=blank_map_directory:blank_map_directory_big

I'll second that. Just because I'm thinking that once I'm done with my current TL something set in Anglo-Saxon England is calling my name.
A small warning that coastlines then were a bit different. Maps here and here show some of the differences and this article gives some details of when land reclamation took place in various areas (in part 6.1.2). However, most people won't even think about this, so feel free to ignore me and just use a map with modern coastlines ;) .

Hi, in the recent chapter from my TL I described a flag for a potential central European organisation (think Mitteleuropa but less dominant Germany). One of the frequent commenters of my TL was nice enough to come up with a design which I quite liked but feel like could be improved. However, I much prefer the bull's head to look more stylised, as it does here.

Now, my request would be to design a flag with a deep green/lush base and a stylised bull's head in either black or gold (whichever looks better, although I feel that gold looks best) and framed by golden laurel or oak leaves.

Thanks a lot in advance and apologies if my request is not as clearly worded as it maybe could be; let me know if you have any further questions :)

Sweet, thank you so much!

Here's two options, one with a laurel wreath and one with oak. I couldn't find a good oak wreath (at least, none which was free to use/adapt), but this one's maybe okay.

Looks fantastic! Thanks a lot

Does anyone have a Map of Europe in 1914 with all the states/rivers outlined? I'm going to make a slideshow on the treaty of Versailles for my history class and I want to show the progression of how each Central Powers country was divided

Does anyone have a QBAM of the soviet northern/siberian river reversal project I just need Lake Mantiy for my map for this one.

one QBAM that has all the ice age lakes of the united states southwest?

And one QBAM that as everything below sea level filled with water without raising the sea level of the rest of the world. This is where you would find all the locations of below sea level locations:

And finally one QBAM that shows the true shape of Antarctica.

Hello.

I have a question.

Could someone here do a map with a mirrored Japan, from Hokkaido down to Okinawa , so that Original Japan and Mirror Japan are kinda look like a (very lean winged) Butterfly?

IMG_20231104_223939.jpg

Perfect would it be, only if possible of course, if both Japans are mirrored/connected at the point above the J of the Japan in the Map above.

.........
I have a little ASB story in mind and I sadlysuck at map making.

I had forgotten to ask if Lake Texcoco during the Aztec Civilization was big enough to include on the map if so I would like to include it in this package of requests:
