Renown and Repulse completed as aircraft carriers

Out of idle curiousity what if the two Renown Class Battlecruisers were completed as aircraft carriers? Putting aside whether or not such a conversion would take place what sort of carriers would the ships make and how would their presense effect the war?

If they were converted to carriers during the same general time period as the Glorious class, they would probably be just slightly more capable versions of these ships. They might go thru similar design evolutions. In hindsight, this would have been the thing to do. It would have given the RN two more fairly large carriers and perhaps stimulated more interest in developing the FAA.

I'm not really sure that the Royal Navy will be coming out ahead without the Renown and Repulse as battlecruisers. Teamed with the Hood they formed the battlecruiser squadron during the interwar years.

I would consider that having them completed as carriers would be good if it was balanced out by the scrapping of the Eagle and probably the decommissioning of Hermes. One problem the Royal Navy faced with their carrier force was that it was formed around a lot of small carriers.
