    Treaty of Lisbon

The fundamental terms of the treaty were:

-The Spanish Habsburgs finally recognized the legitimacy of the Braganza dynasty in Portugal. Infanta Catarina, Duchess of Braganza (1540–1614), former Duchess of Braganza and grandmother of João IV of Portugal, was retrospectively acknowledged as a legitimate heir to the throne.

-Portuguese sovereignty over its colonial possessions was reconfirmed, except for the African exclave of Ceuta, who did not recognize the House of Braganza as the new ruling dynasty.

-Spain cedes Luzon to Portugal in exchange for its rights to the Spice Islands.[1]

-Agreements on the exchange of prisoners, reparations, and the restoration of commercial relations were reached.

-Portugal ceded the African city of Ceuta to Spain. Seven years earlier, the nearby city of Tangiers had been awarded to Charles II of England as part of the dowry of Catherine of Braganza; this was stipulated in the Treaty of Lisbon of 1661.

-Isabel of Beira is to be married to Charles II of Spain to seal the treaty.[2]

    1. The Spanish failed to quell the revolts and chaos that succeeded the Maniago, Almazan and Malong in Luzon even if their leaders were killed (and even importing Merdicas soldiers to fight them failed) which the Spanish had news block out and the Spanish found a way out, to this, Luzon(Saludong) would benefit in this treaty as its Pagan population would no longer be targetted for conversion.

    2. Portuguese alliance with Britain would be temporarily broken as long as Isabel of Beira is married to Charles II and as long as he is alive.

    Maria Francisca of Savoy

Months after her annulment, Maria Francisca married the Infante Peter, now the Prince Regent of Portugal. In 1669 she gave birth to a daughter, Isabel Luísa Josefa of Portugal, Princess of Beira. The Braganza dynasty was at the brink of extinction, and Peter needed heirs, yet Maria Francisca was unable to produce further issue.

On 1676, Infante Peter of Portugal would be forced to annul his marriage with Maria Francisca of Savoy and send her to a nunnery and contract a marriage with Marie Louis of Orleans to prevent the extinction of the Braganza and Spain having a union with Spain again and send Isabel of Beira to Charles II for her marriage with him, but the marriage between Charles II and Isabel of Beira would not last as Charles II would die on 1690, leaving her a rich widow.

    Note:
The Spanish war of succession still happens ITTL

    Marie Louise of Orleans
  • Marie Louise of Orleans

On 1676, a marriage between Infante Peter of Portugal and Marie Louise of Orleans, she would be pleased by this new marriage, however her role as queen would be demanding as she would have to produce heirs soon and there would only be four that would survive and brought into term that would even survive adulthood, Infante Afonso (December 2, 1677), Infanta Maria (June 4, 1679), Infante Felipe (May 10, 1683) and Infanta Luisa (December 2, 1686).

Prior to the the birth of his three first children, King Peter II of Portugal would have been worried about the succession and Infanta Luisa would marry Charles II of Spain on 1686, but his death without children would have saved Infanta Isabel from her suffering but the whole country of Spain will suffer as he would die without children and Isabel, Princess of Beira would be married off to Elector Maximilian II Emmanuel of Bavaria(after his wife died due to a miscarriage in 1688) and Isabella Stuart of England would marry Infante Afonso of Portugal, Peter II of Portugal would be crowned alongside his queen on 1683, when his brother died, however, Queen Marie Louise of Orleans would die due to puerperal fever on the spring of 1687 due to her weak constitution.

    Celebes and Mollucas
  • Celebes and Mollucas

On 1673, a Spanish-Portuguese army would fight the Dutch on Celebes and retake control of Maluku and Sulawesi for them to take control of what was stolen from them by the dutch, which will be a success and the Spanish would have a base to reconquer the parts of Mindanao that were taken by the muslims under Sultan Kudarat via the Maluku islands in the south as it was given to the Spanish in the treaty between Portugal and Spain.

The people from Sangihe group of Islands would support the Spanish and Portuguese against the Dutch due to the Dutch supporting the Muslims against Christians, the Portuguese would obliterate the Sultanate of Gowa and support the Pagans and Christians on Celebes while the Spanish would gain its price of the Mollucas or Maluku, however this would mean that further skirmishes against the Dutch would happen.
