Okay, right now I disengage form this project; for I have done quite enough, and in the remaining areas my knowledge is little to none. Regarding Russia it can be finished but I believe anyone who knows Russian is able to complete it.
I’ll do the rest of China and as much of Africa as I can do. Have fun on your break!
I am sorry, but I don't understand the meaning the the colors. Can anyone help?
Any ETA on this map?

Gulf 2000 maps has also nice maps for South Sudan and West Africa as well
Did some work on West Africa. I put ethnic religions in purple because I don't know what the color is for them.
Oh it's supposed to be the shade of brown which you can see on the southern fringes of Sudan, in Ethiopia and on the Iranian coast near Hormuz
Here is my progress now. Future progress might be slower because I am starting work on a timeline about the Natural Law Party.

It’s very interesting. If you look at a population denesity map of the country, all the traditional religion areas are sparsely populated. This is the case for many other countries.
Progress in Russia

And a smaller version of our global map
I would recommend reshading Haiti as the practice of actual Catholicism is kind of rare here, the majority religion is Vodou.
