Mapping the religion of South African Whites. due to no precise data, I identified the Afrikaners with Calvinism and Anglos with Anglicanism. Other than that, I would presume the coloureds in their majority would adhere to a form of Calvinism as well; the Bantus I have no idea what religion they practise
Religion in Namibia Based upon:
Majority are Lutherans.
White majority places except those with German presence were declared as Afrikane, that is Calvinist
Also Oorlam and Baster settlements were proclaimed Calvinist.
San and Himba regions remain pagan.
There must some Catholics somewhere, but I have no idea where to find them
South African whites completed, minor corrections in Namibia
a few more countries in Africa..
New colour for the Zion Christian Church, dominating among Blacks in Limpopo and Mpumalanga. The Northwest and Free State are shown as Pentecostal, due to prevalence of Apostolic Faith Mission, a Pentecostal denomination. Due to Pentecostals dominating in Northwest, where majority are Tswana, I coloured all Tswana-majority areas of Gauteng and Limpopo as Pentecostal. After seeing who dominates in Kwa Zulu, all Zulu-majority areas will be coloured in the respective colour.
Apparently, the Herero are Catholic. Added the Zululand and Eastern Cape
South Africa done
Some progress in former French West Africa... we thank the government of Benin for organizing a nice census, in quality comparable only to Ethiopia Nigeria appears to be next in line.
Not saying I know which Christian denomination dominates in which area of Nigeria precisely, but this should be the general picture:
