Relations between North America and Britain in a "Britian retains the USA" world?

How would relations between the North American colonies develop if there was never an American revolution (or the British squashed it when they had a chance)? How would the Empire deal with one of their colonies surpassing it industrially (or would they allow it to happen?). Would there be one, all-encompasing, Dominion of North America, or several seperate dominions?

What political changes ensue with all of English-speaking North America retaining its loyalty to London? Different political movements? Parties? Would there have been another revolution down the line (and if so, why)? Sorry if this has been done before, and I am sure it has...

EDIT: Sorry for the spelling error in the title. Typed too fast.

Hmmm maybe the POD is representation in parlimnet.... which the colonies are outvoted every time, that is until they get more ppl. We could see majority white colonies become voting districts while the non white colonies are oppressed

The eventual outcome could likely be America and India fighting over who gets to be the leaders of the British Empire.

Slavery would be abolished early on in the 13 colonies. Very likely capitalism would evolve very differently in this world. Be very deeply entrenched feudalism of sorts.

When American MP's outnumber British MP's in parliament perhaps they will move the capitol and palace to America.

Perhaps if they make each part of the North American dominion smaller than the UK on it's own. And then, all you have to do is make them compete with each other.

So, lots of small dominions, who feel no stronger a connection with the dominion next door than they do with the UK
