Red Korea, Neutral Japan, American Okinawa

What if Korea following WW2 had been Communist due to total Soviet ocupation, Japan was made into an Austrian-Style Neutral following a Soviet occupation of Hokkaido, and the US opted to annex Okinawa either as a Commonwealth or Trust Territory?

Japan would not be neutral. It was agreed at Yalta that only Japanese Karafuto and Kuril would be taken by the Soviet Union, if they break this agreement, to say nothing of turning the whole Korean peninsula Communist, the Americans would be rearming Japan like crazy. And after turning Eastern Europe into satellites despite agreements - also at Yalta - that free elections would be held, the West is not going to trust Stalin or the Soviets with anything.

One thing to consider is that Article 9 was not actually insisted upon by the Americans, it was the actually Japanese who insisted on it. ITTL, I don't think the Americans would allow Japan to just completely depend on them, not with the Soviets having access to the Pacific via Hokkaido or the perfect staging area for an invasion of Japan in Korea. Hell, I don't think the Japanese would even want to demilitarize, at least not to the same degree IOTL. Limitations like no carriers, NBC weapons, long-range rockets, and heavy bombers, plus a peacetime cap on their ground forces say, 500,000 men like was the case in West Germany, but Japan would be much less pacifist, and maybe even less democratic. A British-style monarchy would be more likely implemented in Japan than the completely-ceremonial monarchy of OTL.

In China...support for Nationalist China would likely continue. Despite disagreements with Chiang in WWII, and sentiments that the KMT were fascist, after all the shit the Soviets are pulling, the Americans would probably swallow the bile and support Chiang, pouring guns, tanks, planes, supplies, ammo, money, and technical aid.
