Real-life Helen of Troy

In the Victorian era, papers would make BIG deal about such a thing, but I don't see any war emerging out of that. Not in Europe.
Sisi spent a lot of time away from court, and FJ was certainly quite distressed about it, but nobody would ever have considered such a thing grounds for Austria to declare war to anybody (one of the supposed lovers of the Empress would be the Empire's Foreign Minister, note).
As an aside that I also believe that Sisi likely remained faithful to FJ even in separation. My understanding is that she loved her husband in a way, although she passionately detested the milieu of the Viennese court (the couple clearly grew apart over time though).
Of course, that could be different if the woman in question eloped with some other country's royal, making a much closer Helen's of Troy analog.
Say, Sisi packing to London to live openly as the Prince of Wales's mistress would cause some ... issues (not that I consider this even remotely possible with the personalities involved). Even then, however, I anyone thinking about Austria going to war with Britain over this. The British would likely recognize that Austria would have some legitimate grounds to complain and offer some sort of negotiated settlement (up to and including returning the girl to Vienna).
The same probably holds for any comparable situation in Europe in that era. A lot of fuss and diplomacy, but war? Nay.
Oh, and in any similar event, comparison with Iliad would abound in the papers.
