So apparently in 1980, the Reagan campaign first asked Gerald Ford to be the VP candidate, but Gerald Ford wanted to control some cabinet appointments (I think he wanted Alan Greenspan as the secretary of the treasury and Henry Kissinger as secretary of state?), and the Reagan Campaign rejected those conditions and asked George H.W. Bush to be the VP candidate. What do you think would have happened if Reagan accepted Ford's conditions? I doubt that it would have affected Reagan's election, but his administration would definitely look different...
