Just a suggestion, maybe the use of high boots instead of puttees might be linked with either ranks (NCOs and up) and / or a sign of distinction (i.e. worn by NCOs as well as members of elite units.)View attachment 842984
Typical Royal Army of Kymria infantrymen, with the more common boots-and-putties setup and the rarer wearing of longer boots, depending on the weather. The helmets are based on Austro-Hungarian variant Stahlhelm helmets, the Bergdorfer design helmets. The rifles are a fantasy version of the Männlicher M1895 rifle.
