Random thought: Sinophilic Genghis Khan

Genghis Khan Temujin is born a slightly different person. ITTL he is more like his OTL grandson, less ruthless and more culturally malleable, while he retains his military prowess and charisma. He also manages to kill Kuchlug before he seeks refuge in Xi Liao. He also manages to live another ten years, reaching the age of 75.

When he conquers the Xi Xia and Jin Empires of China (with fewer civilian massacres and infrastructural destruction, and with greater speed, as his forces are concentrated in China), Temujin becomes fascinated by Chinese culture, and decides to focus his efforts on conquering the rest of China. he largely keeps Chinese institutions intact.

Just as he launches his campaign against Nan Song in 1229, Temujin declares the foundation of the Hua Dynasty (named after the state of Hua from the Spring and Autumn Period).

After some setbacks, Song China is eventually completely subdued by his son, the Emperor Hongzong of Hua, in 1241.

The Hua Dynasty now rules all of former Jin, Xi Xia, and Nan Song.

What happens next?

So does this mean he just focuses on China, and ignores say, Khwarezm?

That's going to have effects before the conquest is finished, I think. Not necessarily positive for him and his.
