Traditionally central power victory scenarios suggest that if France fell to the Germans, the lack of a western front would lead to a swift exit on the part of the United Kingdom. I'm curious to see whether the cliche is generally an accurate assessment of how the UK would have behaved in the event of a French surrender. Now the plausibility of a French surrender is another matter entirely, but let's say France does collapse early in the war per the cliche. How does the UK react? Is there a quick exit from the war? If not, how would the UK have continued the war against Germany in light of France's capitulation? I'd imagine continued naval warfare and a greater emphasis on blockade efforts would be part of such a war effort, but I'll leave those with more knowledge of the war to decide what actions the UK would undertake.
