Quick query re: Elizabeth Tudor

So, in a scenario where Henry VIII marries Elizabeth off abroad (ignoring the tangled legitimacy questions for now), who would be reasonable guesses/choices to be sent with her as a part of her entourage?

Anyone connected to the Boleyn/Howards would be up for consideration. So maybe Catherine Howard's sisters, maybe Jane Parker, the children of Mary Boleyn (both first and maybe second husband), along with some other highborn women. Depending on the year you have in mind, you might see Margaret Douglas leave with her.

You've got more trouble than just legitimacy here. She was born in September 1533, which means the earliest (legally) she could be wed was 1545, two years before her father's death. Who wants a protestant girl at this stage of the game? Henry's broken with the church, but daughter Mary is still doggedly Catholic and to keep his church, he's got to send Mary away first.

Edward VI is still around and fiercely Protestant; that's not a problem.

Legitimacy is a big problem though; even plenty of Protestants considered the divorce invalid (Martin Luther had written a pamphlet against it, FI).

As for who would accompany her? Any female member of a sufficiently prominent and ambitious family would probably see it as a chance and a significant honor.

Okay, so Margaret and Mary Howard, Margaret Douglas, Catherine Carey/Knollys, maybe Anne Stafford, maybe one or more of the Shelton sisters, are contenders.

Yeah, I know, I was looking for specific people though. Would she have men in her entourage?

Yeah, this is mostly for curiosity's sake, so I'm handwaving/assuming Mary's already been married off.

Maybe one or two, but most likely she'd have mostly female attendants follow her to her new husband's home country.

Would Henry be more likely to send someone related to Elizabeth as her male escort, such as Henry Carey or Francis Knollys, or someone higher up that he personally trusted?

Catherine of Aragon seems to have brought around six ladies with her and as well as a number of servants when she came to England to marry Arthur so, I'm going to try for similar numbers.
