Question: Albert Speer

Had the allies bombed the German power grid, would Albert Speer or anybody be able to do keep the German economy going? Would it also end the war sooner?

According to the USSBS Speer said would have taken down the German economy and US studies apparently support it, so had they gone for it and bombed production facilities that built replacement equipment that would have been a death blow,

As far as I knew Germany did not have a full grid anyway. I've always thought there was an interesting TL in a world where the UK grid wasn't built. It proved very important during WW2 with power coming in from S Wales to London when Battersea (I think) was damaged in a raid.

Did anybody have the accuracy to actually hit that many small targets ? If not then does it matter at all that it would have worked if only for ASB provided LGBs ?

Wasn't necessary really, they could inflict damage with near misses, as the transformers and the like were vulnerable to blast damage. Saturate the target as they did industrial/city ones and you'll inflict the necessary damage.
