Question about a Samuel Tilden Presidency.

Sam Tilden came very close to winning the Presidency in 1876. (You could make the argument it was stolen from him.)

But if my memory serves me correctly his health failed around 1878-1878.

So if Tilden actually becomes President, what happens, does he die, or do we get a bed ridden President for four years, or does President Tilden resign?

Or does his victory butterfly away his health collapse?

If this has been discussed before I'm sorry.
