Let's say that in mid 1930's there is a conservative but not batshit crazy government in Berlin. The Chancellor is a smart and wily guy, let's call him Bismark Mk2.

What can the german government do to drive a wedge between the french and british, with the final purpose of an franco-german alliance like one started between de Gaulle and Adenauer and continued later on? I am certain that there are issues (that IOTL were shelved in the shadow of german increasing assertiveness) that ITTL remain instead around as flashpoints.
