Queen Jayne Seymour

WI: She survives the birth of Edward VI and goes on to have at least one more surviving child, a daughter. She survives Henry VIII. I'm sure Henry would make these children take precedence over Mary and Elizabeth. When Edward dies, his sister succeeds. What happens now? Do the supporters of Mary or Elizabeth take action?

Probably not since people don't support the individuals but only the route to power that they offer

A new queen would be a blank sheet and everyone except the diehard Catholics would be hoping they could influence her and gain power and appointments through her

Particular the Seymours :D i'm presuming those who were guardian to Edward would still take over government for her.

More interestingly who would she marry down the line? Any ideas GW your usually good at this

Having said all this is her mother dead or sumway incapcitated if she isn't it would be really interesting to see what effect that has on her life.

I'm sure Henry VIII would put Jane's daughter, I'll call her Henrietta, next in line after Edward. Henrietta would have little problem claiming the throne...unless she were very young. How old do you envision her to be when E-6 dies in 1553?

Edward VI's sister is about 14 or 15 when he dies. This would make her of marriageable age. She might end up marrying Guilford Dudley instead of Jayne Grey. I still see rumblings from Mary's supporters.

The thing is Mary's supporters would have not had the period where she was Heir Presumptive, which they did all throughout Edward VI's reign in OTL. Here, she is second in line, and whilst the only Catholic, her potential for becoming queen is a lot less realistic than it was in OTL, especially after Edward became sick
