Queen Elizabeth of England marries King Sebastian of Portugal

Sebastian manages to escape from Ksar-el-Kibir and returns to Portugal. King Philip II of Spain, with help from the Pope, launches an anti-english propaganda and manages to gather a "spanish armada" to claim the english throne from the heretics.

England desesperatly calls Portugal because of his alliance. The council of Portugal tries to remain neutral but King Sebastian, in a fanatic rage against the catholic bishops that promised him the win in Ksar-el-Kibir, honours the alliance. There is turmoil in Portugal and some bishops, priests and rebels that try to stop him are arrested. King Sebastian declares war on Spain and sends a letter to the pope, asking to stop the anti-english propaganda, and the pope excomunicates Sebastian. Although not embracing the protestant faith, Sebastian asks a marriage with Elizabeth, defying the pope. Elizabeth accepts but only after the war. Sebastian accepts this condition.

The portuguese and the spanish empires clash. The portuguese armada prevents spanish from landing in England and England send his army to help Portugal in Iberia. In Phillipines, Brazil and the Christian settlements in North Africa the war starts. The Dutch Republic allies with Portugal and England, while the other european states see this oportunity to expand overseas, taking colonies one of the two empires...

How will this war end? The other european states will ally with who? Or will they remain neutral?
How will be a possible marriage between Sebastian and Elizabeth?
And how will be the religions in Europe after this war?

The English army is fighting in Iberia...

PS: We already know what happens when Castile/Spain with a X bigger army try to conquer Portugal without some "internal portuguese help"...Surely Philip II will try to focus the most catholic portuguese against Sebastian or it would be a hard war (not impossible, but hard), in reality Philip, when become king of Portugal, ended a law that said that every portuguese man should have horses (with popular support), something like this. Like a portuguese historian said "Portugal was a military camp".

Beisdes he risks excommunication by the Pope by helping a heretic... and rebellion if Portugal is placed under interdict...
