I'd classify this 80s TV series as an AH show given the nature of the story involving a guy, Sam, who's given the task of jumping back thru various hist periods of American hist into the lives and bodies of different ppl in order to prevent other ppl from being killed as they're projected to be by his controller/friend, so that the TL is changed. Just saw 1 interesting episode tonight where Sam's back in the 60s to Alabama in the body of a white Southerner called Clyde, a KKK member, and he has to prevent the deaths of a local black civil leader at the Klan's hands. Very powerful episode, that's for sure.

There was another one where he jumps into the body of a bodyguard of Marilyn Monroe. Turns out that 'originally' she died in 1961 during filming of 'The Misfits' at the hands of a deraged fan.
