In a theoretical conflict between Nader Shah led Persia vs Qianlong led China over Central Asia, which power has more chances to win in the region? Both states were powerful and were on a winning streak...
Nader shahs side already has contacts in Central Asia and the political language is similar enough to make allies- further it’s closer to his power base than Qianlong who would have enormous supply chains and be almost completely alien in terms of political ideology. The real question is, could an Afsharid presence west of Dzungaria affect the outcome of the Qing Dzungar wars? Nader Shah would provide a Muslim presence for uyghur Turks under Dzungar rule to transfer their fifth columning to and there’s a chance he’d be less genocidal when he’s done as well (although Delhi would suggest otherwise)
There had been Zorastrian exiles in China. Maybe Quinglong uses them in some way.In a theoretical conflict between Nader Shah led Persia vs Qianlong led China over Central Asia, which power has more chances to win in the region? Both states were powerful and were on a winning streak...
They can't be. The zoroastrian exiles, ie narsieh, peroz, and their ilk, are completely forgotten after 729. They're likely already long, long gone, considering a thousand years had passed. There had been Zorastrian exiles in China. Maybe Quinglong uses them in some way.

And, say they were, would anyone actually care?
